How do you do. I am Shinichiro Sakamoto, student at Department of Forest Science, Graduate School of Agriculture, Tokyo University of Agriculture.
Ifm doing research about the restoration of nature in devastated places caused by the course of development and natural disasters more specially to places that turned into desert wherein the condition to grow plants is difficult. Restoration of nature in devastated areas is not my problem alone. We who are living and enjoying the affluence of nature in this earth should take the responsibility to conserve and preserve these natures. I wish that we should all come together to think and cooperate to protect and give importance to the earth we are living in.
On September 25, 2005 the last day of the Japan International Exposition which would then start on March 25, 2005, all the children in Asia will plant trees in their surroundings. This activity is called HAND IN HAND. Through this HAND IN HAND, we hope to promote communication between people from all borders and people to nature. This is an activity for children to make their environment green on their own ideas starting from their surroundings such as the school zones, parks, streets, temples, shrines etc. I earnestly ask you all scholars for your full support and cooperation to this activity of children through HAND IN HAND.
Letfs take this day, September 25, 2005 a chance for us scholars together with our colleagues in Asia to join together and enforce this HAND IN HAND that would make our country full of nature and kindness among people.
From now on I would like you all PTPL scholars to share and present our ideas through the Web Site of NPO PLANT A TREE PLANT LOVE, { Asian Network "HAND IN HAND"}.
